About Knock Out Words

About The Founder Kristin O'Neill

I started Knock Out Words in 2010 to work in the intersection between the worlds of business and language. The company is a natural outgrowth of my professional and personal passions.

I have always loved writing, but in business, the process of doing great writing gets too easily lost in the daily challenge of building or growing a successful company.  Not everyone has the patience, staff, or skill set to do it. Knock Out Words offers a service to get it done, and done right. We specialize in language, in capturing the right tone and feel to really reflect the value of what you do, and help you reach the right audience.

As a small business owner, I have been an active board member for the Foster Area Business Association (FABA), acted as FABA's representative on the Venture Portland Board, and served as a volunteer on the marketing team for Wordstock, Portland’s highly regarded yearly book festival.

I am originally from New York state, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Journalism from Purchase College, State University of New York.
